Motorsports Rally to Take Place at PA Capitol on Sept. 28
WHAT: The United States Motorsports Association will host the first official Pennsylvania Motorsports Rally to recognize the economic importance of motorsports in the Commonwealth. The event will feature various race cars that compete at different types of venues on display and special presentations from dignitaries and representatives from Pennsylvania’s motorsports industry. As co-chairmen of the Pennsylvania Motorsports Caucus, Reps. John Payne (R-Dauphin) and Pat Harkins (D-Erie) will also recognize rally guests in the House of Representatives.
WHO: Payne, as well as representatives from the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, the United States Motorsports Association, Don Schumacher Racing, Pennsylvania’s own land speed race team, and others.
WHEN: Wednesday Sept. 28, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The event will kick off at 11 a.m. with race cars on display outside the state Capitol. The press conference, with special guest presentations, will take place at 1 p.m.
WHERE: Soldiers’ Grove, Commonwealth Avenue, behind the state Capitol.
